I left Ireland one year ago because I could not find a job there and with a wife and four young children I really had little choice. I moved to the Middle East and to a country called The Sultanate of Oman. Like many people forced to leave home I arrived here very very green. Over the past year I have learned a lot about expat life, good, bad and indifferent. When it comes to Oman I would like to think that I have some bits of knowledge and advice to offer the hundreds of people now leaving Ireland every week to work abroad.
I am hoping that other expats will have similar bits of knowledge to offer from there adopted countries, and that the will offer this information in this blog.
